Promotions | Training Module #9

Module includes:

  • 1 Template (Supporting Document)
  • 1 Video (Walking you through the document)

In talking about Promotions, we’ll discuss all of the sales and specials that you’ll run inside of your store as well as the technical steps involved in making it happen. We’ll focus on four main categories: Warehouse Data Feed, Batch Process by Type for POS & Shelf Tags, Ad Flier, and Outdated Products.

At the most basic level, technological compatibility between your POS System and your warehouse is of utmost importance for the successful operation of your grocery store. This allows for a warehouse data feed to exist, which keeps ever-changing sale and discount prices up-to-date in your POS system. This is absolutely necessary for having the capacity to run sales that are profitable and efficient. Plus, ensuring that your cash registers and price tags reflect the same amounts is not only good for business, but failure to do so can negatively impact your state business license.

In this video, we’ll walk through the Concepts document and fill in all the gaps, tying all the pieces together. There are no additional supporting documents for this module, but this video does contain a live demonstration of the V-Lookup Process regarding sale tags at 45:52.
