This module covers the technology infrastructure you’ll need to build your grocery store. This piece is intended for those in the planning stages of building a new grocery store. However, if you’re looking to update or improve the technology infrastructure of your existing store, these will be helpful considerations for you as well.

Like all 10 modules, this one includes supporting documentation. We’ll walk through the Concepts document (Mod2_1) primarily as we go through the POS (Point of Sale), PCI Compliance, and Cabling & Networks sections, and will look at the POS Quote Comparison Review template (Mod2_2) as well.

I highly recommend hiring a technical expert to help you in this process. Everything we cover in this module is intended to be a discussion with someone who has the technical expertise to be able to put this together. Depending on your personal skillset, it’s possible that this is one of the areas in your project where you will need some technical assistance.
