Last Month of Planning & DSD | Training Module #6
Module includes:
- 2 Templates (Supporting Documents)
- 1 Video (Walking you through the documents)
In this module, we’ll cover DSD (Direct Store Delivery) vendors and the last month of planning before you open a grocery store as we go through three main categories: Establishing an Opening Date, DSD, and Last Month of Planning. Getting your store opened will be highly dependent on getting your refrigeration to temperature, so if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the previous module, Module #5 – Food Safety and Refrigeration.
Most conversations with your DSD vendors will happen in the last several weeks of planning your store, shortly before opening. Once your shelving is done, you’re ready to have those shelves filled with merchandise from different vendors who offer a wide range of products you’ll need to carry. This module will take you through the process of onboarding each of your DSD vendors – milk, chips, ice cream, pop, bread, beer – you name it!
We’ll look primarily at the Last Month and DSD Concepts document (Mod6_1) and will cover the second template, the Vendor Schedule along the way. This video will tie all the pieces together and as well as share some stories along the way.
